Korean
baritone Tito You studied at the Seoul National University
in his hometown.(With Prof. Sungkil Kim) In 1994, he made
his debut in Die Zauberfloete(Papageno) at the National
Opera House. In 1995, he came to Italy, studied at Conservatorio
¡°G.Verdi" in Milan until he joined "JUNGE ENSEMBLE"
of BAYERISCHE STAATSOPER in 1999.
In 1998, he won the grand prix at the international competition
TOULOUSE in France. He repeated this success at other
singing competitions all over Europe, such as the international
FRANCISCO VINAS-competition(3rd Prize) in BARCELONA, and
the International competition of BILBAO(1st Prize).
In
1999, He began his contract in Munich as JUNGE ENSEMBLE.
He did the new production "Otello"(montano)
under ZUBIN MEHTA, in 2001 he sang the same roll under
JAMES LEVINE with Muenchner Philharmoniker.
In
2000, He did the rehearsal cover(MARCHESE DI POSA) -New
prodution "DON CARLO" under ZUBIN MEHTA.
Since
2000-2001, He joined STAATSTHEATER KASSEL in Germany.
In three seasons, he sang Traviata (Germont), Otello (Iago),
Onegin (Title Role), Barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro), Tannhaeuser
(Wolfram), Boheme(Marcello), Butterfly (Sharpless), Cosi
fan tutte (Guglielmo), Carmen (Escamillo), Werther (Albert)
and so on. He did also remarkable concert pieces, 8th
Symphony of Mahler (Under ADAM FISCHER), Carmina Burana
of Karl Orff, Ein Deutsches Requiem of Brahms and so on.
In
2003 he made his Rigoletto-Debut as the season's openning
in Kassel. His contract in kassel will be until 2003-2004
season.
