studied at Yonsei University of Music and the Korean National University of Arts. Performances included Queen of the Night Die Zauberflote, Musetta La boheme and title role Sim-Tjong at Seoul Arts Centre, Kiseng-jang Hwang-jini (Young-Jo Lee) at Peking Opera Theatre and Tokyo National Theatre, title role Lucia di Lammermoor at the Korean National University and concerts with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra.

She attended the National Opera Studio, London, 2001/2, supported by the Peter Stuyvesant Foundation and the Friends of Covent Garden, singing the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor and Zerbinetta Ariadne auf Naxos in the Showcase at Queen Elizabeth Hall and appearing in the NOS/ENO Studio Two performances at Bridewell Theatre.

In the 2002/3 season she understudied Violetta La traviata, Clorinda La cenerentola, The Queen of the Night Die Zauberflote and Ophelie Hamlet. This season she will sing Milliner Der Rosenkavalier, Lucia The Rape of Lucretia and Naiad Ariadne auf Naxos and cover Olympia Les Contes d'Hoffmann and Fiakermilli Arabella.
